does it make a difference which rose petals you give your tortoise? will they eat any, i mean red roses, pink, yellow???

I've spoken to Martin and he apologises for missing this one. Apparently the list on Tortoisefriends was based on Jane's own observations of what she observed her russians eating with no ill effects, and of course we know now that Russians
have evolved to beat grazing competition by eating plants poisonous to other animals. Not to be recommended as a general tortoise food, though unfortunately. Hope this helps |

Thanks Sue. Would I be ok planting wallflowers in my russians enclosure then. Its just I have quite a few I had hoped to use around the enclosures

Thanks Sue, It was just a little query, I would never feed a tortoise anything that was'nt on the edible plant list just not worth taking any chances especially when their is so many plants they can eat anyway.
