What are these plants please
Hi, Our new tort Timmy has been out on the lawn a couple of times when it's been warm. We have noticed he has a particular liking for theses little yellow flowers growing in the lawn like a kind of moss. Wonder if someone can identify what they are and if OK for our little man? Many thanks.

Looks like kidney vetch. Feed in moderation if it is.

I'll do a better picture in the morning when it's lighter.
Sorry my posts are taking time. I'm still being moderated - how many posts do I have to do before I become un-moderated, it's very frustrating? |

I just thought that was clover through the grass but you could well be right Alley cat.

So are you guys now agreeing it's Slender Trefoil? If so, is it OK as part of our Tim's diet? Many thanks for your input so far - it is much appreciated.

Yes I think Alley is right. I can't find a listing for "slender" trefoil but birds foot trefoil is a no feed. I wouldn't let Tim have any more unless someone else comes along who is more knowledgeable.
Here is a link to the tortoise table. See if you think this is the same plant as yours. http://m.thetortoisetable.org.uk/m/p...main&catID=325 |
