Think i have just answer my own question, should of goggled first .
The Tunisian spur-thighed tortoise is a relatively small tortoise. The adult males usually have a carapace that seldom exceeds 13 cm (about 4.5 in), whilst the adult females' carapace is no more than 16.5 cm (some 6.5 in) long. The geographically closest population of the Testudo graeca group, from Morocco, is decidedly larger.

And they can grow longer than six inchs. But is a relatively small tortoise, compared to others. They can be harder than other meds to keep, if you dont know what you are doing.

hi
Hi Ben , no what happened is i feel more happy to talk now , on the 6th April at 7.45 in the morning my 18 year old son and his girlfriend on my sons motor bike had a very bad accident with a lorry ,they both got air lifted to Southampton hospital , my sons girl friend broke all bones on left side,my son was dragged a long with bike under truck we are very very lucky he is still with us , his leg is not good ,i better not go into detail no bones broke but much worse really a mess ,he is just out of hospital been in 40 days, was moved to Salisbury hospital but will need to go back next tue it will be ongoing. my red foots cherry heads were a size so had all of one downstairs room, the reason i had to sell ,to make this a room for my son , it was really lucky as i did a swap in the end for small spur thighs just days before . I am not giving up but only have room for the smaller ones now ,they have green house run shed now and have room indoors for there smaller homes , I had to do something ,just a pair of cherrys to sell now or swap. This happening with my son his 2 brothers my husband we have been so upset ,to have a policeman knock your door in the morning to break this news to you ,i just could not talk about it before .I loved my red foots but sometimes things have to change.
