Default adult reds

hi

was wandering if the keepers of adult reds would be kind enough to share their knowledge and expertise with me

my question is generally with regards to both summer and winter housing

i am planning well ahead and intend to start making changes in the garden quite soon

photos description of outdoor enclosures
how long are they outside in general which months
do they stay out all night
do you heat the outdoor enclosures house/ hide
how do you maintain outdoor humidity

indoors / winter
photos or description of indoor accomodation
do you use a converted room garage or very large box enclosure

thanks all advise appreciated

i do not have any photos of their enclosure but our cherry heads are housed in a 6 foot by 4 foot shed heated with with a radiator and infra red bulb, we have a power sun in one corner for basking, the out side run is not next to the shed at this time but it is heavly planted with shrubs as they do seem to prefer this, they have a very large water bowl to use as they do like to soak, we never leave them out all night, they always get locked away.

Hi Linda
You have seen mine but i can say i leave my adults out in good weather all night and day usually
through June ,July and August .
They do still have access to the outdoors in the months of May and September and really enjoy a good natural rain shower.
They are kept indoors through the winter months in a large table type enclosure 6x5 this is were they lay, there laying season being from September through to March.

Will post picture on thi sthread later
Darren

whenever they hear the water sprayer they come running

what type of outdoor heater would you recomend would this be used with a theromostat

obviously i am talking for future arrangements

they will be tucked up indoors for the next few months unless of course we get an indian summer
