If hes not butting her, id deffo keep them together after all these years. The change in surroundings will be a big enough change. I'd keep an eye on them though as spur males do like to butt and if he gets a bit OTT in his new house you may need to seperate then. Good luck

Thankyou all for your opinions - they will have as big a garden here with me so hopefully won't start butting or anything else! :P

What I would do is monitor them closely a change of home and surrounding might well trigger new aggression from the spur off if this happens seperate them and look to possibly adding to them with there own kind rather than you rehoming either

We have had these since I was 18 months old so there is no way I'd part with either of them There's a very pushy neighbour who said he'd take them off my hands Cheek of the man. If the worst happened and they did start butting etc., do you think they would take to another of their own kind? I have 3 Hermanns, but no spur thighs? Do I still need to quarantine them before possibly mixing with my Herman?( the Herman only) Sorry again for so many questions,Yvette

I would definitely not split these two up. I would, however keep them separate from other torts. Carry on giving them lots of room as before to avoid problems in the future. Any babies they produce would likely be infertile.
