Default What species is Sally please?

Just wondered what Sally is - as she was imported in 1960 I have no idea, except a spur thigh. She has really settled in well, as has Henry, no butting or biting as yet.Hope the pics come out this time,Yvette

Hi Roedeane,

I think your toitoise could be a Gilbert white(Testudo Whitei).

I have a larg femail Whitei, she has the same large white spurs on hind legs.

Good discription on Tortoise Trust web site under Taxonomy/natural history.

Hope this helps.

Hi

I am not as knowledgeable as those that have replied so far! But I'd like to say that Sally is a gorgeous tort, and I am really glad that she has settled in so well.
