Well last nice I went to pick an egg up that had been in the incubator for way too long (200 days). It was very dark in colour. The egg popped in my hand and an almighty rotten smell came out as it hissed releasing the gases.

Redfoot. They are usually 125/150 days. But some breeders have had them at the 200 day mark.
My last 5 did 117 days. |

Cool glad I don't keep them I could never last that long waiting for an egg to hatch 55/70 is way to long in my book why can't they be like chickens 21 days or so all in

Mmm, thats a very low incubation time, I'm assuming it's because they have a relatively small season in the wild.
Like, copulation, laying, incubation and hatchlings to thrive to a less fragile stage before hibernation. Do they grow fast in the first few months? |

I have an incubator full of eggs at the moment that I have no idea as to when they will hatch as idiot boy (me) used a felt pen I thought was a permanent marker but wasn't so all the dates have disappeared from moisture on them.
At least I can tell which species they are as I have thb hercs thh and a few others all in together. |
