help
I have got to give my hermann antibiotic by mouth but i am having problem to get it too
open its mouth any suggestion. |

Hi Jackie,
I recently had to give antibiotics too. You use a syringe (with no needle of course  ) I offered a sliver of tomato. When the tortoise opens his mouth to bit the tomato you slip the syringe in. The tortoise will bite down to try to get rid of the syringe but it only works to secure the syringe in her mouth . Then you slowly release the antibiotic.I usually let her eat the tomato then because I reckoned that the antibiotic would taste foul! Hope that helps!! Louise

I got a syringe from the vets so i will have a go with the tomatoe today, they said try to opon it mouth but that was a job thanks jackie |
