It might do try to get one of the plastron from the side so we can see if there is a concave there. In the meantime I'm going to go look at my girl and get some pictures.

This is why I don't like to sex them as both male and females have short tail unlike Herman's and horsfields.

carapace does look a little curved underneath...but I thought the butterfly bottom scutes didnt look wide enough for that thrashing tail action...when looking at her sideways has s/he a dip in her head - males some times carry a slight incline... time will tell I suppose

well I've looked at my girls and there tails are different so not sure.
I never believe what people tell me as a tortoise that so say lays will always sell but unless you can prove it its just their word.
A good example of this is a young Burmese brown i have was sold to someone i know and they were shown a vidio of so say tortoise digging a hole and laying eggs which sounds good until you read up on them and find out they don't dig they build a nest above ground like a crocodile and don't lay till in their late teens and this one is probably only 3 maybe 4 years old at a push.
