Bottom Shell grooves
Hi all,
I have recently noticed that my 6 year old horsefield, Tony, has some grooves on the bottom of his shell. I have looked online but cannot find anything about them. Tony is bathed twice a week, fed a diet currently of salad with the shelled warriors dried flower mix and calci dust sprinkled on top. In the summer he will be fed plants but up in Scotland and not plant growing weather at the minute. His shell is hard like it is supposed to be. His substrate is the tortoise terrain from pets at home. Previously used topsoil from wickes but with the bad weather this was soaked in storage so now using one from pets at home. We got Tony when he was 3 and his previous owners kept him in a viv. In the period between getting him and moving him into a table he was lethargic and only woke up if you woke him. Now he is active and quite honestly loves attention Everything seems to point to him being healthy bar this. I have included pictures and hope you can give some feedback and point me in the right direction. |

The claws on the far away back foot look a bit worn, is it walking ok?
It might just be the angle of the photo |
