as posted in a elrier thread i found some really old pictures....including these.....u may not be interested in this and may think it is a waste of time but i am glad i helped this guy out. a few years ago i found a common toad that was ttacked by a cat and this thing was pouring with blood, after using loads of cotton wool i managed to stop the bleeding of which most was from it's eyes amd head area. i spent 8 months hand feeding this guy and pretty much teaching him to hunt again. after much hard work i got him to start acting normally again. i then released him near my pnd where i cud watch over him and unlike most that i have rescued this guy is always around the pond and never hibernates (i beat if i went out now i wud find him under some logs) so i go and trow a few crickets out once a week in winter to keep him going. makes me pround....does that make me sad lol.
pics aren't too good as it was done on like a 0.02 mega pixel phone. few days after he was cleaned up about 6 months later, he is more able to move around release day. thanks for looking |

cheers lyn, i hate to see any animal in pain....i remember a few years ago on pet rescue i think it was and a rspca inspector found 5 frogs that had been slightly burnt from a bonfire but it was nothing too bad but yet on the program the guy had them killed as he said they wud need care for upto two weeks to help them get better. i thought how pointless and lazy is that to kill 5 animals becuase u cud not be bothered.
i will have a look for some mor eof my pics of animals i ahve helped out including a stag beetle with a broken leg. |

That's really lovely.
What the world needs is more people like you who are willing to give animals a second chance despite the hard work. So many people don't bother and it breaks my heart. I spent 4 weeks nursing a wood pigeon with the help of my vet who had been brought in by a customer, their cat had scalped it. Lots of vets would have pts but my vet patched him up and gave him to me to nurse. It was wonderful when he was released. Well done you |
