Will agree with that 100% - my spaniel has made me so proud over the last week. He is 8 years old and had never done alot of socialising/going to towns etc. But while in the lake district he walked through crowds of people and dogs went in shops/cafes and pubs and went on a bus and behaved like a complete star to the point that people commented on how well behaved both spaniels were being we have not long got home and he has now crashed out exhausted bless him

wow vikki that's good, Spaniels are pretty hyper the ones i've met, totally lovable but mad in a nice way. I've seen your two in a photo and they are cute as and your plants in tact. My lab eats mine and the dirt ! cbx

Yes they can be crazy and even I was amazed at how laid back he was about everything but they did have lots of walks so think he just took advantage to be able to chill out when he could!!

Gorgeous photo, I don't have a dog at the moment, and I do miss that companionship.

I had a spaniel, a bit hyper, but wonderful.

I guess Jock the spaniel is very easy compared to Pepsi the German Shepherd I had. She had a lot of health problems which affected her behaviour. With people and dogs that she knew she was the sweetest most loyal dog imaginable but any strangers both human and canine and she couldn't be completely trusted. I had her for 10 years and still miss her so much but she was a challenge in so many ways

Here she is with the boys

And looking very alert (which she took a bit too seriously sometimes!)

She is lovely Vikki. Was she quite small for a German shepherd? Or maybe that's just the photographs.

vikki she is gorgeous (boys are cute too). Alsatians can be a bit highly strung usually, but extremely intelligent. I knew a long haired one once who use to give rides to small children and was like a big bear. And then a few that would take your arm off if trod too close ! but still lovely ! sucker for a doggy !
