I got one, I got one, I got one.
My husband rung from work and said he was coming home early and would take me out to get my birthday present.
I saw loads of young ones only 4 or 5 inches long but I chose one that is 6 months old and about 12 inches long. The reason I wanted him/her is because last time I was in the shop he was scratching at the glass and wanted me to take him home, I felt bad leaving him so went back and got him today.
He is so sweet, I was a bit scared of him at first, well I say him it was more I was scared I didn't know how to handle him and I would hurt him. I also didn't want to stress him too much. I only held him for a short time, but he's great, can't wait to get to know him.
Thanks to my long suffering husband for buying him for my birthday. Poor man is a wee bit scared of some animals, it takes him ages to get used to them.

I'll post some picture tomorrow.
Oh and in answer to your question, my beardie went black when we first got him home. They do change colour according to mood and also if they are too cold. They can go lighter to reflect the light if they are too warm and dark to absorb light if they are too cold. I've been reading up, can you tell?
