Senegal Parrot needs a new home
Hi all,
I have a male Senegal parrot who is 9 years old, we have had him since a baby and he was hand reared. His name is Ben and he is sadly looking for a new home as he moved from my house to my sisters when I got cats but after 12months of being with her, her fiancé is not happy to keep him long term and I obviously can't take him back with my 2 cats. He can talk and says Hello Ben and mimics the phone and gives kisses. He can like most parrots give a nasty bite if he feels like it but will happily sit on your hand and have his head stroked. He can't fly very well and I think that's because he tends to pluck he feathers out. He has always done this and he has no illness but unfortunately it is a learned behaviour and so far we haven't been able to stop him. This means he does go through scruffy phases. He is a happy healthy little boy and is looking for his lifelong home as they can live for 25years. I would prefer him to go to someone who has parrot knowledge. He would come with this cage and toys and the food we have for him. This will be a sad sale so only serious enquiries please. Thanks you ps we are in Birmingham

Ah, that is a shame. We used to have a fiery shouldered conure called Gordon who we adored. Sadly he died a year or so ago (the vet said it was a stroke) completely unexpectedly. We were devastated. Hope you find a good home for Ben.

Get rid of the cats, the bird was there first. Sorry to be so blunt but why would you invest so much time in a bird like that then get cats?
