thanks shelly and laraine! there both great ideas, shelly. i hate the thought of him not going to eat for a few days because he doesnt like it but i guess i have to be tough!

he doesnt like the grass i grew him either. i guess he'll eat it if hs hungry enough.

hi i have only just read your message and i dont know how old or rather large this tortoise is so cant be sure its just that if it has been used to being outdoors during the summer it may be missing the higher light levels it experiences outdoors what sort of lighting do you have indoors and how long are its lights on during the day.

my leo is only 3 years old, and has always been housed indoors, i have repti glow 8.0 and the lights are on 7.30 till 7.30. unless he goes to bed an hour before.
