Best for basking?
What is best for basking, logs or stone/slate?

I don't know for sure. I have slate which is half in the basking area but both my torts bask just on the soil and slate in equal amounts I'd say.

from the pictures I've seen it looks like they bask on logs in ponds?

I use a big bit of cork bark wedged in my tank.
It cost about £25 from my local aquarium shop but it looks really natural and doesn't block up any swimming space |
