Here in the Central Valley of California we only have edible weeds in the early Spring. After that it's too hot and everything dies. But then I have grape vines and mulberry trees and I use those leaves in my tortoises' diets.

Every so often I see chicory in the produce market, but not very often. I've never tried to grow it.

This year it's been so wet I have been able to collect lots of weeds for my lot with still loads coming on so I guess that the grotty spring has been worthwhile could do with some warm sunshine now that June is around the corner!
