You will get a better read out if he had all his legs on the plate, put a up side down flower pot or something similar on first then zero your scales then put the tort on the top that way all four feet are off the edge of your scales

I have those scales and I think the whole square bit does the weight

that tortoise has the cutest little heart shape on the front of it

I have those scales too and the whole of the top does measure the weight not just the circle.

Oh I see the problem ( sorry, having a middle aged moment) I put my big torts on their backs for this. It's a bit mean , but they're ok. Love the love heart.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm think everyone is missing the funny here

The tortoise seems to be peering at the readout and worrying about her/his weight. At least thats what she/he told Jonathan
