when they showed the fighting that was horrible - and then how he killed the dog when it lost the fight... they showed the injuries, not the attack (i phrased that funny, sorry)

Such a shame that this goes on, in our supposedly modern civilised country at that

hi i didnt watch the programme but i have to agree with Kelly ban the deed and not the breed dogfighting is cowardly and cruel the problem is the sort of people who want this type of dog in many cases are the last ones who should have them.i think that unless you are a confident person and have the time to exercise and socialise a powerful and dominant breed perhaps this is the wrong dog for you.

Hi Stells,

Just interested as to why you are angry with the BBC - is it because you don't think that they offered a balanced view of the breed?

I dident see this but i have seen others and it always angers me as its so one sided. As much as we need to know dog fighting go's on and it is a cruel nasty sport. The dogs are the victimes in all this. When a dog attackes its always made to look like the breeds bad. The dogs are conditioned to be like this. When a local rotty bit a kid ther was a pic in the paper of a snarling dog and the story made out all rottys are dangrouse dogs and should be band. Mine is as gentle as can be and very well behaved but i dont leave her with my kids. i wouldent trust any dog alone with a child.

That’s an interesting read. A case of another breed of animal completely misunderstood/mistreated by the general public
