hi,

If she's panting, perhaps its the early stages of labour?

Have you tried: www.rabbitrehome.org.uk

There's a forum on there and there's quite a few experienced people on there (rescuers and breeders) who may be able to help.

Hope this helps a little and good luck.

Vee
p.s. I'm not an expert but perhaps best not to put her in with the male again as if rabbits get stressed they can sometime eat their young (sorry if sounds patronising, you may know this already!).

Kim Rabbit pregnacy takes excatly 28 days, rabbits can absorb there embryos at an early stage of developement but hormone levels in the body may still make them go through teh process of pregnacy.

I doubt she is delayed in birthing unless the delivery date is wrong.

Please don't run her with the buck this is silly and cruel as she will be extremely stressed if she was to be pregnant still as teh buck will still copulate with her.

If your rearly wrried a vet is the best thing

The gestation period for a rabbit is 30 days not 28.
She may be in early stages of labour. Not all rabbits build a nest before giving birth. Some are not quite so prepared and leave until they actually give birth.
It is important that she is not stressed at all and kept quiet if she is in labour however if she is showing signs of contractions and nothing happening then you may need to take her to a vets as she could have a kit stuck and need urgent help.
Let us know how it goes.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but you said you used to breed years ago. Was it rabbits or something else?
If she looks in distress I would get her to a vet.
