Hi Niamh,
I agree not to introduce them, despite the fact that you could supervise and say no to the dog, there will be the temptaion if you arent around for the dog to think ahhh, mum isn't around I wonder why she always says no, this thing must be very interesting, I think I will take a closer look. I would be safe than sorry, which is why I had to inform the ISPCA about next doors dog jumping the 7 foot wall and getting into my garden because I would have hated the dog to have got at my torts and if I wanted a dog I would have got my own. I certainly didnt need nextdoors inviting itself into my garden where my tortoises live happily without dog contact. Ade

Dogs are lovely loyal creatures, but I think we forget that they also can have a natural instinct to kill if an opportunity arises.
Best bet, don't give them the opportunity Sam x x

I will take a pic of him when he stays still and put it in the other pets section. Just had him shaved this week so he is a baldy!

Having just got a chewed tort by his previous owners dog, Harley (Black Lab V V V cute!!) will not be meeting Thomas. Harley is nearly 6 months old but still acts like a loon and the same as the first day we got him. I just could forgive myself if Thomas got chewed again.
