Default Tree Snake In My Garden!

I was surprised the other day while closing the bedroom window to see a head looking back at me from the tree outside!

It was this beautiful non-poisonous Northern Racer snake. I took a picture from the window then a few outisde.
I thought I would scare it when I got close to it, but all it did was stick it's tongue out at me!

Got to admit that I would have been scared to spot a snake in my tree. I look on the floor for them but wouldn't expect to see one halfway up the tree.
It looks pretty pleased with itself to be there!

Cripes, I'd have piddled myself! I would never think of loooking that high up and initially thought it must be photoshopped ... sorry . Then the close up photo is really good..... even if the subject matter isn't
