Any last minute advice?
Going to purchase a young leopard tomorrow from a guy who has bred them, I know to look for runny nose /eyes and signs of breathing problems but is there anything else I need to look for to be sure I'm choosing a healthy one?
Should I offer food straight away and when should I start the daily bathing?

Hi Simon,
Well i was advised to look for bright eyes, not sunken in& active, just stand & watch the group if you get the chance, then pick one of the active ones. I can only tell you what i did, i offered food the same day, my baby hermanns ate all i gave her, i bathed her the next day. Good luck & enjoy your trip. Marg. |

You could bath when you get him home for ten to fifteen min's in luke warm water, dry him off a little and pop him the home. Try a little food after a warm up, i would keep feeding a little as putting in full feed's could be a waste, if the tort decide's to just get his bearing's and settle in .
Looking forward to seeing pic's Simon.

Thanks everyone and yes, very excited! Just looked back through my posts and it's only been a month since I decided I wanted a tortoise but it feels like so much longer.
