Dang, I didn't need to see that. The more I see the more they interest me.

This is going to sound sorta stupid, but what do they feel like to the touch? Does a baby have the same harden texture as an adult or is that something that happens with age? At least they look tough and hard...not tortoise, but getting there.

Jacqui I love talking dillo ask all you like

The adults are hard to the feel with the band hinges being soft like velvet, they I suppose feel like tight leather, babies become hard at around 5-6 weeks but at birth are very soft ,
I lost pictures of the new born infants but have some on disc somewhere will post a picture of a newborn when I get chance

Piglet
You live in my dream home. Animals aplenty. I'm sooo jelous. Suppose I have to be practical though. Dont know how you manage. Between the animals I do have , kids and work I dont get a minute to myself. (unless I skive to come on here )
In all the pics you post, your family look so happy and healthy a real credit to you and its great to see someone making an effort to conserve a species and not just collect.

Amazing, though I can't imagine keeping such a thing as a pet! My daughter, the one with the axolotl's, thinks living with my animals is bad enough!
