Default 16 month old hermann, anyone else got one?

I am wondering what is the healthy weight and growth of a 16 month old hermann would be,anyone got any pictures of theirs please,she/he is 68g and 68mm,i dont think the lady i got her from had a uv light and she was only feeding her lettuce, cucumber and rocket,so i am tempting her with weeds, with little success so far, although i am bathing her twice a day and she looks active and bright,i am taking her to the vet on the 28th as that is when the vet who owns the practice is back and i trust his opinion,i will take a poo sample with me,if i can get oneand will the vet worm her for me???will this help with her feeding if she is wormed?thanks in advance and her underside

does anyone think she has an unusually long neck and not enough shell to cover her head, does she look like a girl or boy??

Each tort varies individually as to size wt etc. I dont have any recent pics to post only summer ones. Sorry i cant be of more help.

Jackie this looks like a lovely tortoise to me with beautiful colours and I don't see anything wrong with the head or neck. Is the tortoise able to retract the whole of the head and neck into the shell?

I would suggest be careful with feeding as this tortoise might have had a bit too much or too rich diet in the past. Her shell does show signs of 'tobleronage'. I'd suggest weigh her regularly and try not to overfeed.

Lovely photos

Hi Jackie,

68g at 68 millimetres is a good weight. Stick with the weeds, your tort will come round to them.

i will thank you,if i put some food right in front of her nose and hold it for her she will take a small bite, then turn her nose up,especially if i have sprinkled nutrabol on it.She is a speedy little thing though,i am sure she thinks i am mad, bathing her and hand feeding her, probably never had so much attention and sick to death of me watching her all day, like she is in the BIG Brother house

She looks lovely Jackie.
I have 4 hermann's-they are 18 months old now and one is really tiny (she has always been the smallest), there are 2 larger ones and one in the middle size wise..
They were all different sizes when they came to me at 3 months old and have remained different.
I guess it depends on the size of hte parents maybe.

Very difficult to tell the ladies from the guys at that age and I wouldn't even try, though some very experienced breeders might be able.
