I wouild say definitely not any good for torts of any age. It is not beig enough to retains any heat and has no air exchange. No use at all I would have thought, possibly leading to health problems, and where would you put heat if needed?

guess that is out of the question then.. will prob just buy one for my plants though..will keep monitoring the freecycle sites and the garden centres...

Forgot!!! I also have one of the open wooden coldframes my dad made, I used it last summer for my ibera, picture shows it when I first set it up, its changed now full of weeds and more soil etc in!! You can just about see the sides of the wood, it has a lid which is wire mesh
