I would say female too Lynne, and OMG how flat is she, poor thing, that I think is the worst flat tortoise I have ever seen, what makes the shell so flat I really don't understand how, are you going to get her x

She looks female to me too
I'd be careful though! There is a hermans at my college that looks exactly like this and is suffering with MBD right now (Reptile Vet confirmed this) and has been for months. If you do take her, good on you!

Just so the new keeper reading this post understands. The feeding of the dogfood has little to do with the tortoise shape. It most likely wasn't kept under the proper environmental conditions which is why it looks the way it does.
