Ragwort is poisonous to all animals, including humans.

I live in Oxford and we're responsible for this killer weed (it was introduced as an ornamental plant into the Oxforde Botanic Gardens in the late 1700s, and escaped (through birds or whatever) and spread around the country). Every year people have to go to a place called Port Meadow, where people keep horses and cattle, and pull up all of the Oxford Ragwort because it is absolutely deadly to horses, cattle, people, etc. (as Sandy has said). The only good thing about it is that the caterpillars of the cinnabar moth feed on it, and it's a very pretty moth.
