I've had the same situation with someone about a dog. It was free and near where I live, then wasn't free and strangely was in belfast, and the wording was very similar too. Then wouldn't answer any of my questions and wanted me to pay £250 for them to send the dog down via courier! I then gave up because by now I knew something was not right!

you simply don't get stuff for free. why would they advertise it internationally when they could give it to a rehoming place

I had a scammer contact me with regards to an advert for my baby tortoises on Pets4homes seemed dodgy straight away as they wanted it shipped to the States. It gave a name and address in London as a contact and was written in broken english. They wanted all my details but when i googled the contacts name it came up with information that it was a scammer and had been targeting car sales. I reported it to Pets4homes and withdrew my ad and never replied to the email.
