I wouldn't mind a Geometric tortoise, Psammobates geometricus, but would be my second choice (I think the range is a bit bigger than 5km )
My first choice would be the Western Tent tortoise, Psammobates tentorius trimeni. Danny

I've heard of the Geometric tortoise but don't know much about them. The latter, well that's Dan for you!

I'd quite like to own a chaco or a speckled padlocker see link below:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speckled_Padloper_Tortoise. A travencore or a forstens would be nice too. I quite like the serrated tortoise as it's got a very similar shell to Indian Stars.

How well do you know Danny? It must be so good to have a friend who knows so much about tortoises.

I don't know Danny actually. I don't know where I heard of a Geometric tortoise-I think it might've been on the tortoiseforum, the US site as I sometimes browse there. If anything, most people on here know a lot more than me-you just pick up some things that can make people go wow on the way.

Guys what about this, one left in the world, the Pinta Island tortoise! It's a shame that most of the species listed on this thread won't be around in 100 years time.
