Default Best weeds

Can we have a list of the best weeds to grow from seed ourselves? I for one have not had good results yet. Last year I tried to grow Plantain and that didn't come up. Nor does this transplant. I treid dandilion, no results. I am trying to grow chicory and so far nothing.
I got a mixture of seeds from the shop and about 2/3 varieties came up but of course I have no idea what they were.

What weeds grows the fastest? Gives the best result? In the quickest time?
What on the top of your list of weeds to grow?

It all depends on your conditions

Weeds grow best:
Poor soil
Lots of sun light
Heat but not too much room temp is good 18c there abouts
Dont over water, think of weeds outside they are not pampered

Ah but Sandy, you have a lovely garden for them all to grow in. Im stuck with a concrete back yard in the heart of London!
I am going to buy some more planters and give the weed growing another go. But at least there are loads appearing under hedges etc now
If you plant pansies and petunias, do you just break the heads off to feed to your tort, so that they can grow again?

I got a great big chicory plant from the garden centre today for £2.99. As usual I had forgot what was toxic and what wasn't but chicory kind of stuck in my mind as okay. I will continue to grow it on rather than use it just now. Also got a big tub of pansies 2.99 and an alpine strawberry plant at 1.49 which has a lot of leaves on it. They had petunia plants plugs but I couldn't remember if they were ok

To be honest I get pansies if they are cheap at B&Q but not otherwise. Over the last few years I have planted pots up with weeds, let the set seed and then they spread all over my garden. I also collect seed heads whenever I am out, and throw them around the garden too. I have never bought any seeds, I am too tight Anyway there are always plenty around to pick. I have also swopped seeds with people too. When we have our Tortoisefriends meet up, we swop plants and seeds too.
I usually have enough weeds in my garden to keep the tortoises going until at least the end of June. Then lavvy flowers start and then Hibiscus flowers. In between we have snap dragons, campanula and the like, as well as weeds.
It was well worth the last few years getting it all sorted.
Petunias I grow in pots, and feed the flowers when they start to fade, that way me and the torts get the best of them

Our ones like the pansy leaves so they are getting the ones I got a while back and will get the next lot when they are done.

I want to avoid supermarket stuff as much as possible
