I've been leaving it cos she's still settling in and doesnt have a routine yet but i find that she doesnt eat it unless i take the food to her and hand feed her anyway!! Some days she wont eat at all but i think it can take a while for her to settle. A reptile shop in Leeds gave me a list of food ok for a tort and squash is ok as long as its not given as the main food, i dont give her alot but sometimes its all she will eat

My tort has a bath, then has his food, then i take the dish away when he has finished. That way he has more room to play, and theres no manky food laying around. lol

Weed seeds can be scattered around the garden at any time. They dont need high temps to germinate. Just a sheltered place.
Or they can be grown indoors in a seed/plastic tray. If mixed with grass can make a great little feeding lawn for any tortoise.

Hi jenny ive got a horsfield and i only bath him every couple of days. I also purchesed some weeds and grass seeds from SW shop and have them all over the house. I also managed to get some winter pansies from B&Q which Alfie loves.

Hello Jenny have you tried buying the seeds and growing them yourself at home in soil.I find that the little gem is better than webbs lettuce.
