Default Cracky shell?

I picked up my new horsfield on Friday, and i'm a little worried about her shell. Some patches are loose/flakey, and she has some bits of paint on her?!
What do I do?

Sorry it's not a great photo

The top middle area is loose/chipped, and the one underneath looks like a bit has chipped off previously, hard to see in the pics though :S

There could be a bit of shell damage, but difficult to see in the picture, can you take a picture just of the area you are concerned about?
I woudlnt worry about the paint, it looks like it is old and most has come off. A lot of breeders use this as a method to identify their tortoises. It will come away in time, if a large area was covered I would be more concerned, but not little dots.

As a side note, nothing to do with the shell. I would change your substrate. I dont like the pellets anyway, but horsfields in particular love to dig and it is impossible for them to do so with those pellets. i would swap to top soil.
