Default what I'm I

]

here is my friends tortise, i am looking after her. she is 4 years old. she has trouble walking on her back legs. and has not been very active since her brother died a year ago. reason not known for his death.

Hi - sorry but can't see the pics. You will need to use a photo hosting website such as photobucket to upload pics.

Could you let us know a little bit more about how she is kept? Diet/ enclosure/ heating lighting / suppliments etc? This may help us to help you find out what is wrong with your tort


Edit - could someone help me out by adding the link to help cookie upload their pics? I'm unable to copy and paste!! ( top sticky of the pics section!)

It looks like you have a Marginated tortoise - Testudo marginata

Its in a very sorry state

I agree Marginated tortoise needing some TLC X

Please get this tortoise to a reptile vet.

Stay with this forum and everyone will try to give you some advice on how to care for it better. x

What conditions is he kept in? Does he have lights for basking, what temps is he kept at and what does he eat, is he given calcium etc?

I notice you have a tortoise called cookiee from your other posts. He looks in good shape. Could you get your friend to listen to you and get him to a vet?

I agree it is a Marginated tortoise, Testudo marginata and no it doesn't look good.

thank you for your help. will get more info from freind but think it has basking light fed on the food which looks like bits of wood (not sure what it is called) and veg and fruit. . is this MBD catching. could it be pasted to my tortise? and get her to take it to the vet. can it be made better?
