I used to have a very reactive GSD and I found a Gentle Leader headcollar a huge help - it gives you control over the head (and stops them from dragging you off your feet!!) and this particular one is said to be designed to have a calming effect due to its positioning. They don't tend to like them at first and I would use with a double ended leash combined with a normal collar so you don't have to have pressure on it all of the time. May be useful at least until you can get the training in to hopefully rectify the issues with other dogs.x

Yes he have considered a gentle leader, we don't use the lead on his collar anyway, he has a harness (he walks so much better with the harness)

Yeah our plan is a 1-2-1 session to give us guidance and start us off properly, then once we have got there a bit start going to a group class for some general training but mostly to improve the socialisation! He is getting a bit more distractible when hubby takes him out so I think we will get there! The guard dog: Asking for a cuddle:

What a smart chap in his bow tie.
How can you refuse a cuddle with a face like that looking at you? He's adorable.
