Two Hermann Tortoises
Hi, hopefully someone will be able to help us on here, we are looking for a new home for our two felmale Hermann tortoises. We have had them for four years and can no longer give them the time they need. It has been a very hard decision for us but know that it is the best and fairest thing for the torts. They are called Ruby & Amber and are 5 years old.
They are currently kept on a tortoise table and have outside space in the summer but we were given bad advice from the pet shop and already had damaged shells from a poor diet when we got them. After learning from your website we changed their diet but we feel someone else can do a better job of looking after them than us. We live in Basingstoke, Hampshire and we would ideally like to be able to keep in touch with the home they go to. We have a number of pictures of them should anyone be interested, please let us know. Many thanks Emma & Richard |

Oh, they are lovely, I have a Hermann 2yrs not sure of the sex yet but these would make a lovely family (after quarantine). How much do you want and would the table top be included?
I am interested but I am sure you will have a lot of interest. We live in Warwickshire but have a place on the boarder of Hampshire, Christchurch Dorset where we would take them on holiday.

Thanks to all those that have contacted me about the rehoming of Amber and Ruby. I didn't expect to get so many offers, especially from people who obviously care a great deal and would offer amazing homes.
We have found someone who's going to rehome them now and they're also on this site, so although it's been a hard decision, at least we can be sure they're going to a great home. Thanks again everyone. |
