Thanks for the vet suggestion, seems like Hannah is the lady to see. Not too far from me either, about an hour. I will call her in the morning and make an appointment, I will also cancel the other appointment.
I will keep you posted as to how it goes. Thanks.

Hannah is wonderful, she is well worth the journey to visit, you will never want to see another vet after Hannah, she will just spoil you for anyone else! LOL

lol she will be blushing reading this, but she totally deserves it. BEST tortoise vet and a lovely lady. Well worth the trip i will go no where else. Good luck.

Hi, not certain its a male. 20 years ago we had 3 torts and this one was frequently following another and banging on the back of its shell and mounting so I just pressumed he was male. The other tort layed eggs in the garden but although we tried in earnest they never hatched.
Are you thinking maybe he/she is egg bound?

Well from what you have said it sounds male and with a probelm that needs to be identifired by a specialist vet. As others have mentioned kidney and bladder problems can cause these symptoms, so I would go for bloods and x-rays to be on the safe side

Just to keep you all informed, Gluck is booked in to see Hannah 4pm Friday 14th, will let you know how it goes.
