Hi Jill,
I think Darren has a very valid point there, is there any chance of an emergency appointment tonight!!! I would hate to try and push it in and it go wrong and rupture, and trying to keep it moist until morning would be awkward to say the least. I would hate anything to happen to his little tortoise which could be avoided by going sooner rather than later. Ade

Its usually the penis or the female organs that are pushed outside. Sometimes straining to poo
will have this effect. Sometimes it just pops out, like male torts flashing. But for some reason it does not return inside. Good advice from Darren.

Hi Jill,
That definately looks like the bladder has prolapsed and not the intestine. A bladder prolapse it probably worse then an intestinal prolapse. Do not try to push it back in. There is a great chance you could rupture the bladder. The vet will most likely asperate and then try to gently push back in. Like Darren said you absolutely need to keep it from drying out and if possible get to the vets tonight. It really is an emergency. The longer the bladder is out the greater the chance it will start to die. Keep us updated as to how it's going. Danny
