Could mean anaemia, could be due to worms or other factors, needs a vet to say why at the end of the day though.

I've got him booked in for tomorrow night at 6pm (have your fingers crossed for me!)
We managed to get two bites of dandelion down him, but it was a real struggle. He kept spitting it out. He sat with the last bite in his mouth for ages till we tickled his throat. I'm happy that he got two bites down, but still it's only two bites. Thank you very much for your help Sue - it was much appreciated. Karen x |

Update...
Nice vet-man had to do some nasty things to my little Dougal. He had a look in his mouth and agreed that it shouldn't be that pale. Then poor old Dougal had his first anal probe........ You should have seen his little face... Loads of liquid came out and a tiny piece of poo, which the nurse scooped into a specimen jar for testing. So at the mo we're waiting for a blood test result to go back, but if it's inconclusive he'll have to go back for an x-ray. If there's signs of an infection, I've to take him back for an injection. Poor Dougal is feeling so sorry for himself and he's now sulking with me. The vet listened to his heart, and it was so nice to hear it 'whooshing' away happily. Till they get results back, they're at a loss, so I'll keep you posted....... We get the results back tomorrow, |
