What should come out is a slimy white liquid the consistency of cream. This is urates and is perfectly normal. Anythign gritty is a sign of dehydration and calls for more baths, fluids. These gritty bits can soon form a stone which can be impossible to pass and will cause kidney problems and may require an operation to remove. On a tiny tort, such an operation woudl be impossible Hope this helps

If you keep him in a vivarium this will happen regardless of bathing. How are you housing him and at what temps?

He should not spend all his time under the lamp or he will dehydrate. He certainly should not sleep under it. What do you mean when you say he did a poo that was OK?

he always goes to sleep under the lamp at night but as soon as
he does i turn the lamp off, i have notice that sometimes when
i get home from work he is asleep under the lamp with his neck
stretched right out

Bertie... my eldest leopard loves to soak up the heat and stick his neck out - I see it as a form of how relaxed he is by knowing he does not have to have his head in his shell all the time.

A good poo is a firm and brown in colour - loose runny poo is not good.
