Hi. I was getting a bit worried as one of mine hadnt pooed for 2 weeks after starting his windown for hibernation. Sandy here suggested 2 baths a day - that seemed to do the trick, the floodgates, or should that be poogates(?) opened then for day after day. Had to wait for him to stop before hibernating him. So, they can easily last quite a while without "pooing"

I have been using sawdust as a substrate when he is inside but after reading posts on this site I will be switching to topsoil mixed with playsand.

glad it worked for you. Once a week is no where enough. Go once a day. He and you will be happier for it.

hi i would suggest you go and see a vet that deals with reptiles not just a standard vet i have wasted alot of money doing that in the past for them to to waste my time and money telling me stuff i already know.... anyway back to you problem i have a tortoise with this problem did all the soaking ect ... but nothing i took him to a great vet i have to say to only find out he has swallowed something she advised that carry on bathing him and give him lactolose, i did this for nearly 4 days and nothing i went back and another xray was done he is now being fed through a tube and having lactolose as well if this fails and he doesnt pass anything he will have to go under and have a opp bless him but this is the last resort .... so my point is maybe he has eaten something....
