Hi
How long have you had them please? Just wondering if you had them from hatchlings? I agree the second one is female, but not so sure the first is male, as the tail is short too. Will wait to see what others say, as I dont keep russians<g>.

The first is a male . The second one is still small so hard to tell, but it might be a female . How big are both of them?

I agree with Sandy the second one looks female. I'm just wondering perhaps the first one is too small to be definate. Although it does look different to the bottom one, but this could change in time.

Can I just check you aren't keeping them together are you? A new torotise should be quarantined for at least 6 months to prevent cross infection.

The first one looks captive bred, as has raised scutes (over feeding<g>).
The second looks wild caught, as really smooth. Probably older than four I would say. Both nice looking torts. Did you buy them from a pet shop?

Okay If the first one is 4 inches SCL it's a female. The second is probably a female to. I agree with Sandy the first one is CB and the second WC.
