Hi

My hubby made my tort table as I didnt want a cage for them it has deep sides as they are only 9 months old and wont grow to be very big they are THb`s, but as they get bigger Steve will make another larger table with deeper sides so that they cant climb as they love to explore.
It cost about £20 to make.
We went to B & Q and bought some thick MDF whcih did the trick nicely.

Good luck

Tanya

my dad can get the wood for free, as we live near a company that helps the village with fire wood, and my dad can trade some eggs with them for wood

as long as there arent any small children or pet like dogs and cat in your house you will probably be better of with a custom built table as you can make it as big as you like. it will be cheaper too

I have my tort table in my bedroom I also have 2 dogs, Toby a Cairn terrier and Lucy a boxer, the tort table is on a wardrobe which we have put on its side it quite long and acts like a table with legs.
The wood idea sounds great especially if you can trade for eggs here are some pics of my table hope it helps.
