So, can you buy the plastic/glass to make a cold-frame?

My only problem is, I have a dog that lives outside, so Franks daytime outdoor pen is fully protected, and of course if I built a cold-frame it could over-heat if there was no escape option :/

The glass is fake plastic glass - came from B&Q & was about a tenner.

Just waiting for the hemp I've bought off the SW Ebay store, then I can make Bob a bed 7 that's it! He's out over night! Scary thought, but he's definately ready for it - he didn't half just sulk when I bought him in tonight

got to admite my hubby has worked really hard today finishing my enclouser BUT instead of building a wall for my coldframe he thougt he would save time and just cement it to the ground.Went out this morning and he was putting the footings down to build on or so i thought so left him to it (as we dont work on things well together he always think his way is best) went out tonight said he had finished to have a look he has done a good job apart from coldframe dont want to pick faults but my tort carnt get in and out without cutting a hole in it will have to try an twist things like its his idea to take it out if he can and put a wall up never mind he did try

All coldframes have liftable lids to allow heat to escape. They are generally used for gardeners
starting off new plants, so also dont want to get too hot.
