Right first things first, yes he gets weeds and flowers, those pictures were actually taken the first night i got him and at that point my weed trays were still in their infancy. He gets a varied mix of weeds grown from seed that were bought from the sites shop, five days a week and lettuce on the weekends when I work early till late and dont have much time for weed picking. For the moment he is mainly an indoor Tort but once the spring kicks in and the weather gets better he'll be outside in what will be his weed haven of a pen.
I know alot of you guys are concerned over the welfare of pet Torts, but please believe me I'm taking the advice of local experienced tort owners and of course the wise words of many of the individuals on this site. I have only the best intentious towards my wee dude, and I am learning along the way with many of his own little traits. He's just had a check up at the vets (Tort Qualified) and is in tip top condition and vet was very impressed with my knowledge and care routines. Again this was thanks to alot of the advice I had read here. I am a sponge to your knowledgable Waters!!! Secondly, Leo is full of 'ttude. He can be a stubborn bugger when he wants and picks selectively when you can stroke him or when he's going to be antisocial and stomp away to do his things... all things I love about him. He really is pretty awesome! |

He's gorgeous Here's a tip - if you pick a load of weeds, you can store them in the fridge for a couple of days to see you through times when you can't manage to get out. Of course, it's best to feed fresh whenever possible but they do keep very well for a day or so. Look forward to seeing more pics from you in the future
