Their anal scutes look pretty much the same though lol

Get him a tortoise shaped ornament.

I keep my 2 adult Hermanns together fine, he rarely hassles her to mate cause he spends his time humping his ornament lol.

I know it can be difficult to sex them, and in the space of a year, Fiorano has gone from definate female, to definate male!

What am I looking for?

I've also had a couple of tortoises that were confidently thought to be one sex and a couple of years later were ID'd as being the opposite one.

I look at the shape of the anal scutes.. If they are square I say female. If they are more rectangler I say male. Aswell as looking at the tail
