Horsfield enclosure
Hey
Been a while since I last posted but my greenhouse housing for my Horsfields has really established now they are living outside 24/7 even through the winter as I have the greenhouse well heated. The weeds have really come on (2 bags of SW seed mix!) and there is nothing more satisfying than watching your tortoises grazing on their home grown weeds!

Oh this looks great ... I've recently had an offer on my first home accepted, when I move in I want my torts living outside 24/7 in something similar

This is my first home too, first thing I thought of was the tortoise garden
It cost me £200 for a polycarbonate greenhouse, about £50 for the outside electrics to be installed and a lot of back breaking work but so worth it! The greenhouse has a smaller box in it with a tubular heater for night heat, and in the day they have a UV heat lamp. They are so happy being outside and they've each made a burrow that they go too

That looks idilic Cris, well done. Did you just throw your seeds down? Did you have to water lots & what time of year did you sew? (I planted a lawn from seed last spring & lots of weeds, now got just long grass & no weeds!) So now need to pull grass out & try again! Can we see inside greenhouse if you get chance please?

I will take pics of inside of the greenhouse tonight thanks I worked really hard and we had the bad winds when the greenhouse was built and had to rebuild it. It was worth it in the end though. i just made little fingerholes in the soil for the seeds and left them, they've spread like wildfire

Looks fantastic.
I agree, letting your tortoise(s) be free to stay outside as much as possible is very satisfying. I look forward to seeing pictures of the Greenhouse and the inside set up!
