My female margies has been digging with her back legs, started about 4ish, but has stopped since I put food in is this normal??? She's happily eating at the moment any ideas???

It's very easy for some females to get distracted when trying to lay.

Do you have the substrate deep enough for her to dig a nest and is it damp enough to hold together when she digs? Is she alone?

yes , she could be gravid

I changed it today, she's on her own, how deep
is deep enough she's had 4 bags of top soil put in? I am placing a bit more where she's been digging, I dug a hole and it's stayed as a hole

About 8 inches should do.

you need to mix with playsand if possible , fill the hole back in, place a heat lamp above the soil so it warms it up ( max 30c ), you should see her pacing around climbing over everything ( but not always ) , just check her every few hours.
