Default Jerry, enjoying the sun.

Hi All, A quick update on Jerry.
We went for a 10 week fridge hibernation this year.
During which we had a new boiler fitted and were without heat in the house for two days when temperatures outside were sub zero!
We also had a new kitchen fitted which meant power was cut for a while. Anyway, we coped and he was fine.
He is taking advantage of the glorious weather we are now having and is currently chomping on the weeds that have begun to overtake his enclosure.
Temps dropped to around 10-11 degrees last night but I do leave him out in these temps if the day is hot. Great to get him back outside.

oh wow, loving jerry and photo. He always seems so cool ! I wish I could plant more for my lot they just either pull them out or eat to the root and destroy. The upside down baskets are good but the Horsfields bury under them and come up into the middle wondering why they can't get out and then devour everything ! no hope ! CB

Great visual image there of your horsfields imprisoning themselves, Clare!

Lovely to get update Keith.

Glad your fridge method is working well, in spite of all your works.

It's been great watching Jerry rediscovering all his favourite places. I was watching him catch some early morning rays from our bedroom window this morning as the first of the sun reached the enclosure. He knew exactly where to be.

Those Horsfields are always one step ahead, CB. They are a clever and mischievous species. I don't think there's much anyone can do to stop a Horsfield with a plan!
Incidentally, I am now quite sure that Jerry is female but can't get out of the habit of referring to her as a boy.

Yes, we had the same, yesterday. Jerry is back indoors, though he is happily munching his way through some watercress, this morning.
