Default Stolen - Surrey

Stolen - 3 Redfoot tortoises from a collection in Surrey.

One has severe metabolic bone disorder

Bolt cutters were used to break in

This is further dreadful news and knowing the individual, she is absolutely devastated.
If possible, maybe Chris Newman at Repta can send warnings to as many pet shops, reptile rescues and other establishments in the trade to get discriptions of these animals circulated.
Anyone hearing of Red foot Tortoises being offered might consider checking very carefully the background of the animals currently in the market.

Devastating. Poor ***, she is beside herself. The *******s have no idea what they are doing to people do they (or perhaps they do and dont care anyway).

A couple of us are working on making tortoise theft much more in the public eye, much quicker to get out to keepers who care and will look out and linked together with the relevant agencies. Something has to come from these recent losses that some of us have suffered, we need to use the knowledge we have gained from these to the torts and keepers advantage.
